Setters Paul Desbrow and George Wale at Arburg
COBA Plastics Moulding’s (CPM) setters Paul and George return from the Arburg Exchange Programme.
Two CPM setters, Paul Desbrow and George Wale, have recently returned from a month-long apprentice exchange programme at the Arburg Headquarters in Germany.
Their time at Arburg was packed with valuable learning experiences. During the first two weeks, they trained at the dedicated training centre, starting each day with guided simulator instruction before moving on to hands-on implementation on actual machines. This structured approach concluded with optimisation sessions, where they were able to tailor techniques to better suit the work we do at COBA.
In the third week, Paul and George were immersed in Arburg’s manufacturing halls, gaining insight into how the individual components of the machines are produced. Their final week was spent in the assembly halls, learning how these complex machines come together from start to finish.
They’ve returned with a wealth of knowledge that we’re confident will benefit the entire CPM team. We look forward to seeing this knowledge in action and shared across the team.
A big thank you to Paul and George for representing CPM and projecting a positive image of COBA at Arburg. We’d also like to extend our thanks to the rest of the CPM team, whose hard work ensured that production continued smoothly during their absence.
